Typically we have anywhere from 10-25 members. Come join in on the food and cycling conversation. Some members bring their bikes, weather permitting, and go on a short urban ride after breakfast, but it’s purely optional. We are not able to reserve tables without a head count but those arriving around 8:00 can usually manage to be seated together.

We’ve had some questions about finding riding partners now that the days are getting shorter and weeknight beginner rides are over. One thing to try is our “Find a Ride Page.” Someone has suggested we rename it to “Find a Rider,” since this is what it tries to do. Go to the page here, and read on.
The idea that bicycling is very dangerous is common. When I ask people why they don't ride a bicycle, the most frequent reasons are, “It’s too dangerous” and “It’s too difficult.” The perception that cycling is dangerous even causes some who value cycling and who are not worried about it being too difficult to confine their cycling to off-road trails. And it also leads to calls for mandatory helmet laws and for separate bike paths. Some of this fear stems from our own fears of driving cars in traffic among aggressive drivers. But for those who obey the traffic laws, cycling is actually safer than traveling in an automobile.
I’ve taken the liberty to copy the above from an interesting page from the web site “Ken Kifer’s Bike Pages.” The rest of the site is just as informative. Here’s a link to that site. Dave C.
