Q: Why do email addresses (hyperlinks) look “funny” on the web site?
A: Spammers use bots to “harvest” email addresses from web sites. They then use these in their mass mailings. All email addresses on the Springbike site are encoded within JavaScript code so that these scanning bots will not find them. Here is an example: someone@anywhere.com actually appears like this someone@anywhere.com (See the actual coding at the bottom of the window when you mouse-over the hyperlink.)
